Stop Being So Hard On Yourself
Why do we tend to be so hard on ourselves? You’re already going through a tough situation, and yet you expect yourself to “achieve” at the same pace as you did when you didn’t have all the same responsibilities you have now. Life changes, situations change, and so you can’t expect the same results and level of productivity through all the different seasons of your life.
We’ve been talking about grief this month. If you’re going through any sort of life transition or challenging season of life, there’s some degree of grieving involved. Grieving the loss of something as you rebuild your life in a new way. There’s nothing easy about this process. It’s full of emotions, triggers, memories, dreams, desires, and fears.
So, if you’re going through something like this right now, ask yourself this question: In what ways can I move through this situation with self-compassion?” Comment below to share your response with me for individualized support & accountability. I read and reply to every comment myself; I want to hear from you!
