Just because things feel hard right now, doesn’t mean that you’re a failure. It’s not a reflection of you. Can you acknowledge and honor that maybe this is just a difficult season of life for you?
You can’t hold yourself up to the same expectations of “getting things done” as when things are going smoothly and great. Life is a constant dance… ...between faith and fear, coming and going, giving and receiving, expanding and contracting. It’s ok if things feel hard right now. But, please my friend, don’t make it harder on yourself with self-judgement and criticism. Give yourself grace. Allow yourself to rest. And, know that the things that absolutely need to get done will get done. And, if you’re looking for more support, let’s chat. I have time set aside on my calendar specifically to chat with you. No pitch, gimmick, or hidden agenda. Just my little way of offering you greater clarity, a space for self-compassion, and practical tools to help you move forward. We’re a year and a half into this pandemic and, if at some point over this past year and a half, you haven’t felt burnout, then I want YOUR secret!...
The truth is this has been exhausting, draining, and completely nerve-wracking. Mixed messages. Polarizing opinions. Being pushed to your edge at work while navigating school and activities for your kids… It’s enough to drive the best of us crazy! But, here’s the thing… These moments that push you to your edge are here for a reason. There’s always something more to learn, grow, or lean into. These moments force you to dive deeper into living in alignment with what’s most important to you and letting go of the rest. It can be hard though. It’s hard to let go of things that you once thought were important and open yourself up to the uncertainty of a new way of doing things. But, there’s also freedom in it… A freedom of releasing yourself from the push and pull, tug of war of what you actually need to do versus what you think is expected of you. Of being ok with saying “no” to invitations and opportunities that don’t align with you, leaving space open for those “heck yeah” moments and opportunities that make life feel juicy, sweet, and beautiful!... I’m leading a free training tomorrow where I’ll give you 3 Steps to go from Burned Out to Restored Radiance. In this training, you’ll learn how to:

Yeah, of course, you don’t want to overdo the processed oils and fried foods. But, there’s such a thing as “good oils” that can actually make you feel more balanced, nurtured, loved, and even help you sleep better! One of the things I’ve learned over my past 11 years of studying and practicing Ayurveda is that you need to adjust your self-care routines for the season. Life, just the calendar year, has different seasons. What looks like “balance” for you in 1 season can be completely different in another season. Your body is always sending you signals. It’s your job to tune into those signals, get curious about what they’re telling you, and make adjustments so that you can live in alignment and harmony with life itself. When you do this, you find greater ease, joy, peace, and happiness. I’m not saying any of this is easy. Actually, it’s a lifelong practice and journey. I always tell my clients “become a student of your life.” So what’s all this got to do with oil? It’s the Fall season. You may have noticed the leaves are changing color, there’s a crisp dry quality in the air, and a breeze rustling through the leaves outside. These are qualities of Vata, or the Air/Ether elements in Ayurveda - dry, light, mobile, cool. These qualities are reflected in your body too. That can show up as dry skin, constipation, insomnia, and a general sense of restlessness or even anxiety. The antidote? Oil up your life!! Physically, mentally, and emotionally, you want to add oily, smooth, unctuous things into your life. What does that look like? Here are some examples:
