How do you practice self-care when there’s literally no time in the day for that?
I get it.
You’re busy. Between work, shuttling the kids to after-school activities, and dealing with all the fires that come up each day, who has time for self-care?
But, here’s the thing…Small changes make a really large impact. Don't think of self-care and wellness as some huge thing that you have to carve out an extraordinary amount of time for each day. You don't have to necessarily go to a 90-minute yoga class. If you have time for it, great. But, if not, don't stress yourself out about it.
I always say that self-care shouldn't be another thing on your to-do list that's going to stress you out. Find those simple daily things that promote sustainable wellness to cultivate and nurture your well-being.
I was recently a guest on The Prospective Doctor, a podcast that offers advice to rising physicians, where I was asked to share ways that they can implement self-care and wellness, even with busy, rigorous, and unpredictable schedules. The tips I share here apply to anyone who feels that they’re “too busy” for self-care.
It’s time to make your well-being a priority and here’s how to do just that…
