Last week was hard. Usually when I have a week like that, someone tells me Mercury's in Retrograde. I still don't know exactly what that means, but, hey, let's go with that! (Has Mercury been in Retrograde all year? If you know what that means, send me a message and let me know!)
Here's what I do know though.
You can't always control the events of your life, but you have 100% control over your mindset and perspective.
So, here it is, 3 things to remember when life feels tough:
1. Be kind to yourself
Play this mantra on repeat in your mind. Offer yourself the same compassion that you offer to others.
2. What can I learn from this?
Re-frame the "why is this happening" or "why am I going through this" to "What can I learn from this?" Sit still and listen. Journal. The answer to this question may not reveal itself right away, but keep asking. The answer will come, if not today, then tomorrow.
3. Let everything come to you. Beauty and terror. Just keep going. No feeling is final.
