By the time I was 25, I’d graduated medical school. I was on my way to becoming a pediatrician. And, although on the outside, it seemed like I had it all together. On the inside, I was suffering from burnout.
There was something missing. I didn’t know what it was or how to describe it. At that time (over a decade ago!), burnout wasn’t talked about much.
So, I did what I could to get through.
I dived into yoga and Ayurveda.
I immersed myself in self-help books.
I meditated daily to get clear on who I am.
I journaled and heard my inner voice through my writing.
I started listening to that inner voice.
I practiced getting out of my own way to let life flow through me.
I discovered peace.
Peace and calm within myself. It felt different from the stress, anxiety, and putting myself down that I was living with before.
It felt good.
And, now I’m sharing those tools with you.
